It was hot this day in Wurzburg, around 95 degrees! So hot that all of the afternoon tours were cancelled for safety reasons. We had the afternoon free, and we were going to go explore! That fortress overhead, it seemed to beckon us ever since we arrived in this city. Like it was watching over us. This afternoon, we are going to hike up that hill and explore that fortress!! And so we hiked up to the centuries old Marienburg Fortress. Um…next time we go exploring, we likely will use a map, though.
